“Here’s the deal about auto racing,” says Kenny Wallace, a NASCAR® driver and TV racing commentator, when asked what motivates racers at the hobby levels. “It’s a passion. It’s a love of the sport.”
Wallace is also a passionate advocate for American farmers and the use of ethanol – and not just because he’s sponsored by agricultural groups, he says.
“At local tracks, they want to run ethanol. It’s a highperformance, clean-burning fuel. It makes horsepower,” he says. “It’s a misunderstood fuel.”
“I represent American ethanol because it’s American. I want to give everyone true knowledge. My message is clear: We try to cut down our dependency on foreign oil. We can really help our fight on foreign oil with American ethanol,” Wallace says.
